Hopefully the downtime has now stopped and my domain will stay on the net for more than 24 hours.

Anyway. Found out the other day that the apartment myself and the boyfriend were looking to rent next year has been let and nobody told us... Just when we had decided how to divide the costs and such. But it kinda worked in our favour cos we made enquiries about similar places and were offered a place which is way cheaper XD woohoo! We're gonna see about visiting it next week. I really hope we can get our own place, living in halls is not something I want to repeat... yeah it was much cheaper than an apartment and had free internet... but I'd rather pay 10x the price and get myself a little more space and privacy instead of just the one room around noisy neighbours. I've got a place reserved in halls next year just in case this housing thing falls through... but I want it all confirmed asap so I can tell them I don't want it. I so wish we'd gone about this sooner than now. *sigh*

It's the summer vacation period in which universities are supposed not to set any work for their students. Yeah right, I have an exam and coursework to work on and must hand them in in a couple of weeks. Ach. Hate uni. So much work for so much money for so little reward. Most of the people in the job I want haven't a single qualification so I have no idea why on earth I'm doing this. Oh well. Life goes on.

Bleh, I hate this layout but I have no inspiration to make a new one.

Oh wow, we back on the air? LOL, it depends which address you visit with. For me, going to my site with the www in front of it goes to the old server and without it goes to the new server.

For those of you who don't know what happened...

Site went down 12am EST on Saturday night/Sunday morning due to a scheduled move at the datacenter.
Site was due back 6am EST Sunday morning.
Site did not come back til 10pm EST Monday night.

Basically the server wouldn't come back online or something so in the end all the accounts on that particular server were moved to a new one... but once that had been completed the old server came back online so now there are two versions of the site, the version updated since Sunday and the version left on the old server and therefore untouched. Check the date at the top of this blog and if it's 9th July then refresh or take away the www.

Know what I said earlier about bad karma? Since I wrote that I have:

• Fixed my mouse with sticky tape XD
• Broken my comp screen :'(
• Fixed my comp screen with sticky tape and a few shakes (it's a laptop screen) :\
• Broken my mouse again
• Fixed it with yet more sticky tape
• Then site went down and I hadn't been able to get a backup since last week. Ooooooh wonderfuuullllll...

Hopefully the worst is over now. If not, you may or may not hear about it here haha.

I broke my mouse. Dropped it yesterday and now the thingy that picks up the optical-ness of it seems to have broken.

Bad karma at the moment. Veeery bad karma.
