Spam :(

Up until now, I've been rather lucky with spam. I've not had any comment spam (yet!) nor do I get much email spam, and what I do get is handled nicely by my filters.

...I didn't mention my contact forms though, did I? No... the ones on this main site are fine for the moment, but my design site's just been hit HARD (the same script is used on both sites). Some bot went through every single page and spammed the contact form like crazy. I edited the form script (Dodosmail) really thoroughly to stop this kind of thing happening, specifying pages the form had to come from, variables that had to match a list etc. Banning the IP the form came from is just about as useful as replying back to the address that "sent" those forms telling them I don't want their services or whatever since they change every single time and are probably fake anyway.

I'm sick of it. I don't want to have to take the form down but I might have to since it's being abused so much. Grrr argh bah stuff. Spam bots suck.

I'm going back home to Reading next week to (re)do my driving test. My temporary instructor (while I'm at uni) says she's very pleased with my driving now, but I still have to watch for the whole stopping-too-abruptly-too-close-to-obstructions thing that failed me on my last test. Blah. Also have a week off after that, not sure whether to spend it in Reading (with my parents) or here in Warrington with the boyfriend. We'll see, it depends on the workload I'm given for said "week off" (officially called "Directed Self Study/Reading week"). [By the way, that's reading as in reading a book. My home town is spelt the same way but is pronounced "Redding". Confused? Good. :P ]

And guess what... the accomplishness of my last entry totally does not apply anymore. Washing up has piled up again, there's very little food, and laundry definitely needs doing. Boyfriend's work shirts need cleaning before Monday at least... But the last wash (done yesterday) isn't dry yet. *Mutters* We don't have a dryer, so we hang things in the bathroom (not outside, since it's been raining for the past few days). However I think it's too humid in there. The last wash took 4 days to dry. Grrr.

Wow, I'm blogging about washing. O_O Do I really have nothing better to say? *Thinks* No, doesn't look like it...

Edit: Oh yeah, I finally sorted out my WP CMS issues. Now I shall be making pages using aforementioned blogging tool. Oh yes. (For those of you who didn't know, and for those of you who care: the paging funtion of my WP installation wasn't working too well and I realised it was because I was missing a part in my theme since I'd converted it from WP 1.2. Yayness. I'm still have the comment notification problem though. Bah.

Edit #2: WP, your annoying little habit of trying to correct every bit of HTML I put into my posts is extremely annoying, since 99.9% of the time you get it wrong. Grrr, bah, phoot. (Don't ask.)

Feeling like you've done all those things that need doing is SUCH a good feeling. We've had a massive washing up pile that neither of us could be bothered to deal with for the past week or so, along with laundry and other such things that needed doing. And yay! I did them. ^_________^ Laundry's drying upstairs, washing up has been done (took an hour and a half *grumble* ) and tedious bits and pieces like making dinner and sweeping floor have also been done. *Nods* Now I need to get into the shower and that's all my things to do done for today. However, I'm still waiting on a call from my driving instructor :\ I was meant to have a lesson with her yesterday but for some reason she couldn't make it so she said she'd call me today to arrange a replacement. So far there have been two calls today and both have been wrong numbers. Well, the first was a lot of silence and someone clicking around on a keyboard but yeah, same kinda thing. Of course, the moment I step into the shower is the moment she'll call. It always happens like that. Blah.

Ahhhhhh feeling like you can laze around all day just surfing the net or watching tv is great... Except I've just realised I should be studying for a mock exam on Monday and also preparing a log to hand in on same day as well as preparing two more presentations. Grrr to that interrupting my nice thoughts. Grrr to having to do that at all.
