Strange search queries

I've never really received many strange search engine queries, but for some reason I've started receiving loads in the last few weeks...

  1. who wrote my way
Um, I have no idea where I have talked about that.
  2. my shift key is permanently stuck what do i do

  3. how do i hack ask&answer

  4. "disk error" ctrl alt del for reboot
...CTRL ALT DEL won't solve a problem if it's a disk error...

  6. why did the weasel go pop?
    Because it did?
  7. things you never knew about music
What can you never know about music...?

There are loads more but I can't be bothered to list them all :P

Ooh yay, my CMS is a year old! Ok, so not in its current state, but a year ago around this time (I made the first entry in the database on 28th July 2006, but that was after I'd done a few days' coding) is when I started work on it. Woooo

Edit on 29th July: Wow, they keep coming! Here are a few more from today:

  1. do the keys on my laptop come off
Well how do you think people put them on if they don't come off?
  2. phone number on net culprit

  4. how to use cutenews

I'm back! Florida was amazing - we spent most of our time in theme parks and it was scorchingly hot - much better than the flooding that happened here in the UK. We stayed in a villa/townhouse sort of thing. It had its own private pool and it was absolutely gorgeous. If I had the sort of money required to buy a place like that then I'd certainly do it. The boyfriend's parents (who do have that sort of money...) are looking into getting a place permanently on a timeshare or something though, oooooh.

I was quite amazed at how used to the US I got. Normally when I go abroad I feel weird until I get back home... This time I was confused by the car licence plates (yellow and long, with a front plate obligatory), surprised to see the steering wheel on the right hand side of the car, and also the fact that people have amber-coloured indicators here (in the US most cars appear to flash their brake lights to indicate)... I found the sockets (electrical outlets) strange too, I kept expecting them to look like the US ones. What I didn't find odd was driving on the left of the road - I could never quite get used to being on the right. Every time we took a left turn I was glad I wasn't driving - I would have forgotten to go to the right hand side of the new road -_-

Anyway. I have pictures - about 700 of them - but I haven't sorted them out or posted them anywhere. I had no internet on my holiday except at the airport on the way back, so it wasn't quite that easy to upload stuff.

Now then... I have a Harry Potter book to finish reading. I know, shut up. I'm about two thirds of the way through, but seeing as I only got back from my holiday yesterday, I'm a day behind everyone else in reading it :P Oh, and if you're going to post any spoilers then don't bother... Someone thought it would be funny to email me absolutely everything that happens so there's nothing I don't know already. Blah.
Edit: finished it! W00t.

OMG HOLIDAY!

Woo! That's right, holiday (or vacation, to you Americans ;) )! I'm off to Florida for a couple of weeks tomorrow, so you won't see me around much (if at all - I have no idea how much internet access I'll get out there).

We'll most likely be doing the theme parks (I'm going with the boyfriend's family and they are theme park addicts :P ) but other than that any recommendations on where to go or what to do/bring? I've packed the factor 50 sun lotion (I am pale. I burn within 5 minutes in moderate sun :( ) so I think we're expecting some sun... Hopefully hurricane season will pass us by, not sure I want to be caught up in all that :\ Also hoping the airports here in the UK are back to normal - there were a few terrorist threats last week and everything's been upped to super-secure or whatever. Bah.

I will hopefully be posting photos if I can find an internet café or similar which will allow me to download my pics - those will be posted on my Flickr account so if you're interested in keeping up with me then feel free to add me or whatever. :)

While I'm gone, all comments on this site and on the Guestblock will be moderated from tomorrow (6th July) until I get back (or before, if I get net access). Apologies for the inconvenience, but I don't want any spam on my site while I'm gone kthx :P

Edit: EEEEP, I just got my university results (they weren't meant to be out until the 9th, go figure...) - I passed and got my degree (a 2:2 for those of you familiar with the British degree classification system)! WHEEE

Ok, so the marks weren't as good as they could have been (42% on the dissertation. *Gulp*) but at least I passed. :D
