(How sad is it that I was tempted to put the above in a <marquee> tag and have it flashing all sorts of different colours?! Oh dear...)
I need to make a new layout for this site. I have been sat in front of a blank canvas for the past few months - seriously, I have absolutely zero in terms of inspiration. I've looked at my usual sources (CSS galleries, colour palettes, etc.) and ... nothing. I have been tempted to simply recolour this one and/or get rid of some bits I don't like (*cough*BEVELS*cough*) but I really don't want to do that because I know I won't be happy with it unless it's a completely new thing and blah blah blah. Argh.
Anyway. Here's to 2008 and hopefully a bit more inspiration. :)

Being inspiration-less sucks. :( While I've not bothered with layouts in a long while, one thing I always liked to do was look outside of the usual CSS galleries and so on...perhaps borrow a modern art book from your library or something? The surrealism, pop art colours, etc, are really different, and depending on what type of look you're looking for....

I'm afraid to say that inspiration never strikes me either, so I haven't any advice to give. I'm so lazy these days I uploaded the automatic update WP plugin. :( I've never found looking at CSS galleries has helped either — it just makes me sad because I can't achieve the same.
