Nothing to blog about...

21st September 2007 / 22:24

Tagged: Rambling, Site

I am so incredibly interesting (sarcasm). I have nothing useful to blog about. In fact, I have nothing to blog about full stop... How very boring.

I did think of doing that "ask me questions!!1" meme thing that's going around at the moment but I have a Q&A for that so there's no real point... So instead I will ramble about how this layout is boring me and how I have absolutely no ideas for anything new. I know of those sites like colourlovers.com that give you colour schemes to work with and stuff but those never give me any inspiration. Sure they give me colour schemes, but there is more to a site than colour and unlike some people, I can't just see colours and visualise a design. :(

If anyone has any ideas of what sort of layout they'd like to see then by all means say so. This one was never really 100% finished and I can't be bothered to fix it, I'd rather just make something new because I'm bored of it.

Well Pink for October is coming up so I'm thinking something pink. Also something without the dreaded bevels and gradients *shudders violently*

I've been scrambling for a new colour scheme too and it's frustrating. Usually when I can't find something on ColourLovers.com or ColorSchemer.com I head off to the galleries to steal a colour scheme (oh palette grabber how I love thee) like I did with my current layout (stolen mostly from Veerle and a few other places that I've forgotten now). Yes I have no shame. Everything is either too web 2.0, something I've already done or just plain ugly. Somebody do something pretty quick so I can steal it! Even just one or two colours that I can build on, I'll love you forever. Probably not though.

Heh, yeah. The bevels didn't quite work with this layout (bit of an understatement...) and I did mean to try and fix them up but I couldn't be bothered and I just want to change the whole thing.

I'd like to see something bright and chunky; something that completely goes against "not noticeably" - make a *very* noticeable layout...

But please don't have it blue / blue / dots / blue. *eep*

Now I feel lucky I can see a set of colours and visualise a new design. But it takes a lot for me to go ahead and start the design. I would like a see a very artistic and Victorian-style antique kind of layout. o_o

    2nded!

I think you should make a skinnier layout (this one is so obese :|) with base colours of #fff and something close-ish to #99cc33 (:

Colourlovers have never caused me anything but design blockage so I try not to find my inspiration there. I hope you come up with something that suits you though!

I'm glad that you didn't follow the bandwagon by doing a "ask and answer" post. I got so tired of seeing it on all sites, that I'm not even going to visit them until they start blogging original content. That goes for everyone blogging about the same internet dramuh.

Get yr own content plz. >_<

PS - Can't wait to see a new layout ;op

Hmm idk, I like this purple because it matches with your site name, but I think what would be cool is like some earthy tones with a few bright spots? I don't know, it would seem very "out there" but I think you of anyone could make it work :)
