Well hello...

I've been working on this all weekend. I have pretty much completely revamped the site - I've got rid of all the old sections and got it ready for being just a blog with some photography. :)

This layout is very buggy in IE6 (there's a surprise) but it should look ok in everything else, including IE7.

Oh yes, and the old themes are gone, because they sucked. You must now have this one or nothing else :P

Let me know if you spot any problems.

A real departure and improvement for you. It was worth the effort! :)

    And yay for 1.1 validation!

@Vixx: My site's always been 1.1 valid :) Well, not always, but since about 2004 or thereabouts. :P

Whoops, sorry, didn't realise! Forgive me - I just get excited when I see 1.1. :P I still can't get over the 4.01 sites I still see, that's all. I'll go hide now. :P

Commented on the wrong post: I really like the new layout. A little something to get used to though.

I'm using Gravatars 2.0 it lets you keep a cache of all the gravatars, so it doesn't slow everything down. You can also have local gravatars if you can't sign up (like myself). However, you can't pass WCAG Priority 1, 2, 3 because your using different images/ids to label the same link. (Your gravatars are linked to your sites.)

Love the new layout! But can I suggest making the center column variable width? I have a laptop with 1920×1200 resolution which means my browser window is a lot of pixels wide and your content is in a slim strip down the middle!

I did try to make it all fluid width, but because of the background, the content part didn't really work too well... I will try again though.

I'm only on 1024×768 so I can't really test how it looks in anything bigger!

@Vixx: there's nothing wrong with validating to the HTML 4.01 DOCTYPE.

There is when people say that they validate to it and promptly don't.

Ah, but then they're not validating - which is a completely different thing altogether ;)
