I have been majorly hit by spam in the last week or so. Not on this site, not on my mail forms... but in my emails. O___O Where are these bots getting my address from? When I join cliques or fanlistings, the address is never displayed or at least "protected" by Javascript. On this site, my address is scrambled by Javascript as well. Nowhere else does my email address appear online. Could it be that the bots have got round the Javascript trick? Gaaah. Luckily SpamAssassin is taking care of everything and sending it straight to my spam box (I have to have it sent to me because too many genuine emails get lost if I don't), so I don't have to sort through the masses and masses of prescription, software and enlargement offers that I will never need. Spam is evil.

Oh and it was me and the boyfriend's 3rd-year-together anniversary yesterday. Go us. :D

I have no idea how spammers get those things. Why they would even want to is beyond me- if they made INTELLIGENT ads people wouldn't delete them so quickly. If 'spam' was used to sell us products we might actually want they wouldn't have to make laws against it. I swear all of the viagra ads I was getting for a while there had to be getting sent by teenagers as some sort of lame 'joke'. If you send them to huge numbers of people where is the fun in it, though? You don't even get to know their reactions.

    Happy Anniversary : )

Happy Anniversary for you and your bf. And I agree Spam is evil. I run my own e-mail server, and one time I got an email from Administrator @ AngelsinExile.org stating they need my login info again. Well that confused me because I am the administrator of AngelsinExile.org. Silly spammers.

Some of the so-called protection JavaScripts don't work.. so it could be that. I get spam randomly though - some days I get tons, some days I get none!
