So it's become very obvious that the fixed header has to go. I did consider making it collapsible but it's more trouble than it's worth and it would just be exactly the same to people browsing with JavaScript disabled. I am working on a new layout but it's not quite going how I want it to and I don't like it and blah blah blah, so it will be a while before I get that up.

On a more serious note, unless you've been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you will undoubtedly be aware of the Virginia Tech massacre. My heart goes out to all the families involved. Thankfully, a friend of mine who attends that university is safe and well, but that is clearly not the case for 32 others. :( I don't know what possessed the gunman but he had no right to take innocent lives with his own.

...and now I must return to my essays. Lots of them to do, and they're all in on Monday. *Sigh*

Ra! I switched hosts (again - this'll be my fourth host in a year) and now my site isn't down every 5 minutes, nor does it distribute stupid viruses and trojans (yet!). Aaaaand I paid round about the same price as for KMK but I got twice the bandwidth and over 3 times the space! Eeeeep!
I used to get (space/bandwidth) 300MB/10GB for $90/year, then $50/year with my second host, $32/year with my third host, and now I get 1GB/20GB for just over that price (I'm not saying how much :P ) Heheheheh! Happy!

Now if only KMK would refund me my unused months... it's been a week now.

Edit: Just found out that a girl was murdered in my home town, right near my house. You can read about it here. She attended one of the schools I almost went to... and most of my friends at primary did go to. Maybe she even went to my primary school...
Well, it's not just my old school that's dealing with the loss of a 17 year old pupil now (granted, this girl was 16), it's this one as well.

I repeat: I wouldn't wish this situation on anyone, and I feel for this girl's family. I've been there, and to be honest, I still am there. RIP Nick, RIP Mary-Ann. Neither of you deserved what happened to you, and it wasn't your fault. You had a long future ahead of you both that got cut short in a horrific way.

This isn't right. Death should come naturally. It did not, to either of these two young people. May they be resting in peace now.

PS: Nick, I'll visit again. Promise - it just terrifies me to think of you and what you look like now.

*Cries*

Train crash happened just near my parents' house, where I'm currently staying. I was at the boyfriend's and was on my way back when all these emergency vehicles started going past and tons of roads were closed... I saw flashing red and blue lights a little bit down one of the roads that was closed but thought nothing of it.
Later on I found out that was a train that had crashed at a level crossing (hence the red flashing lights). That particular level crossing is about a mile or so down the track that runs behind this house.

I was on a train all of yesterday, and due to be on a train again perhaps tomorrow or Monday.
Think I might have to leave it a while, Reading station's completely closed until further notice.

Scary stuff.

It's stuff like this that makes you never want to get on a train ever again.
