(How sad is it that I was tempted to put the above in a <marquee> tag and have it flashing all sorts of different colours?! Oh dear...)

I need to make a new layout for this site. I have been sat in front of a blank canvas for the past few months - seriously, I have absolutely zero in terms of inspiration. I've looked at my usual sources (CSS galleries, colour palettes, etc.) and ... nothing. I have been tempted to simply recolour this one and/or get rid of some bits I don't like (*cough*BEVELS*cough*) but I really don't want to do that because I know I won't be happy with it unless it's a completely new thing and blah blah blah. Argh.

Anyway. Here's to 2008 and hopefully a bit more inspiration. :)

I am so incredibly interesting (sarcasm). I have nothing useful to blog about. In fact, I have nothing to blog about full stop... How very boring.

I did think of doing that "ask me questions!!1" meme thing that's going around at the moment but I have a Q&A for that so there's no real point... So instead I will ramble about how this layout is boring me and how I have absolutely no ideas for anything new. I know of those sites like colourlovers.com that give you colour schemes to work with and stuff but those never give me any inspiration. Sure they give me colour schemes, but there is more to a site than colour and unlike some people, I can't just see colours and visualise a design. :(

If anyone has any ideas of what sort of layout they'd like to see then by all means say so. This one was never really 100% finished and I can't be bothered to fix it, I'd rather just make something new because I'm bored of it.

Woo! That's right, holiday (or vacation, to you Americans ;) )! I'm off to Florida for a couple of weeks tomorrow, so you won't see me around much (if at all - I have no idea how much internet access I'll get out there).

We'll most likely be doing the theme parks (I'm going with the boyfriend's family and they are theme park addicts :P ) but other than that any recommendations on where to go or what to do/bring? I've packed the factor 50 sun lotion (I am pale. I burn within 5 minutes in moderate sun :( ) so I think we're expecting some sun... Hopefully hurricane season will pass us by, not sure I want to be caught up in all that :\ Also hoping the airports here in the UK are back to normal - there were a few terrorist threats last week and everything's been upped to super-secure or whatever. Bah.

I will hopefully be posting photos if I can find an internet café or similar which will allow me to download my pics - those will be posted on my Flickr account so if you're interested in keeping up with me then feel free to add me or whatever. :)

Edit: EEEEP, I just got my university results (they weren't meant to be out until the 9th, go figure...) - I passed and got my degree (a 2:2 for those of you familiar with the British degree classification system)! WHEEE

Ok, so the marks weren't as good as they could have been (42% on the dissertation. *Gulp*) but at least I passed. :D
